MBA Program Information

The Regis University MBA program and its specializations were designed specifically for working professionals seeking an MBA degree program that is convenient and student-focused, providing opportunities for career advancement and increased income, entry into a new field, and personal fulfillment that lasts a lifetime.

As the largest MBA program in Colorado and one of the most respected online MBA programs in the country, the Regis University MBA degree provides students with the knowledge, skills, and outlook to lead ethically and effectively within any organization or industry. Students have the flexibility to choose our classroom-based and online MBA courses, or have a mix between the two, whichever suits their needs. Adult students are able to earn an MBA degree in as little as 20 to 28 months. To assure commitment to the individual student and maximum interaction with faculty, class sizes are limited to 15 students.

Coursework provides students with a strong foundation in the function of business, the global economy, leadership, and management. This is complemented by Regis University’s ethical rigor and emphasis on social justice, and how these standards influence today’s business landscape.

Employers are seeking employees with cutting edge knowledge and the experience required to advance in their field. Regis University partners with numerous employers to offer special tuition rates, helping you get started or to complete your MBA degree.

Academic Integrity

Regis University is committed to intellectual integrity in its academic pursuits. Sanctions may, therefore, be imposed by the University for cheating (defined as using inappropriate sources of information on a test); or plagiarism (defined as presenting as one's own, the ideas, words or products of another). Such sanctions may include a failing grade on the assignment, failure of the course or expulsion of the student from the course or the University. The penalty is decided and imposed by the faculty after consideration of the evidence and the severity of the infraction.

Incomplete Requests

Students may request an incomplete from their instructor if, due to unavoidable circumstances, they are unable to complete their assignments in the normal class period. It is the discretion of the instructor to approve or deny the request. Requests must be made in writing, detailing when the remaining assignments will be completed. Incomplete course work must be finished by the end of the following eight-week term. When submitting a grade of "I," the instructor will also submit an alternate grade of "F" (i.e. I/F). The alternate grade will become the permanent grade in the event the student fails to complete the required work. Extensions beyond the maximum allowable time period are not valid without the written permission of the MBA degree chair. Students on academic probation may not receive an "I" grade without the written permission of the MBA degree chair.

Grades

Repeating Courses for Higher Grades

Any student will be given the option of improving a grade earned in a course at Regis University by repeating the same course at the university. The following guidelines will apply:

  1. Regardless of whether the repeated grade is higher or lower than the original grade, the last grade earned is the grade that will be recorded on the student's transcript. All previous grades and hours for the same course will be dropped and a footnote made to indicate that the course was retaken.
  2. Courses taken for grade improvement cannot be taken on a Pass/No Pass basis.
  3. Should a student withdraw from a course being taken for a repeat grade, the original grade will remain on the transcript.

Appeal of Disputed Grades

All appeals of disputed grades must be made in writing. The appeal must be initiated within four calendar weeks after course completion. Students should use the following procedure:

  1. Contact the instructor in writing to request a review of the issue.
  2. If the dispute is not resolved with the instructor, submit the reasons for the grade appeal in writing to the instructor and send a copy to the Degree Chair.
  3. The Degree Chair reviews all documentation submitted. If needed, the Degree Chair contacts the student and the instructor to arrange an interview.
  4. The Degree Chair approves or disapproves the appeal. If the Degree Chair approves the appeal a "Change of Grade" form must be completed and submitted to the Office of the University Registrar. The Degree Chair informs the student and the instructor in writing of the decision regarding the appeal. If the appeal is denied, the student may appeal the decision to the Director of Faculty and Graduate Curriculum.
  5. Written appeals to the Director of Faculty and Graduate Curriculum must be submitted within two calendar weeks of receipt of the decision of the Degree Chair. The decision of the Director of Faculty and Curriculum is final.
